Adding Bot to Server & Roles
Step-by-step guide to inviting the bot and configuring proper role hierarchy in Discord.
Essential Discord Permissions
For modules such as ticket management, role assignment, and channel stats to operate properly, the bot role requires adequate permissions.
| Permission | Required for | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Administrator | Guarantees full access to channels, embeds, and roles | Highly Recommended |
| Manage Roles | Required for language roles and ticket channel access | Mandatory |
| Manage Channels | Required for creating/closing tickets and stat voice channels | Mandatory |
| Send Messages & Embed Links | Required for responses, embeds, and interactive buttons | Mandatory |
| Read Message History | Required for processing commands and ticket chats | Mandatory |
Respect Discord Role Hierarchy!
In your Discord Server Settings under 'Roles', drag your bot's role near the top (above any role the bot needs to assign or manage). Discord prevents bots from managing roles placed higher than their own role.
